Rebel Wilson has taken her romance to new heights—saying “I do” in a stunning Italian ceremony! The 44-year-old actress and comedian had a pitch-perfect weekend as she married her partner, Ramona Agruma.

The couple exchanged vows on Saturday, September 28, in a dreamy destination wedding on the picturesque island of Sardinia.

The pair first went public with their relationship in June 2022, when the actress shared a cozy Instagram selfie captioned, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess 💗🌈💗#loveislove.”

Their journey from meeting to matrimony has been nothing short of enchanting. Fittingly, Italy played a special role in their romance long before they tied the knot there. It was the setting for their very first vacation as a public couple—a destination now forever etched in their love story.

Their relationship began in a wonderfully old-fashioned way: through conversations that stretched late into the night. “We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting,” Wilson revealed to PEOPLE in 2022. “It felt a bit old-school in that sense—very romantic.”

Their connection was sparked by a friend who played matchmaker, setting the duo up and giving Wilson a chance to bond with Agruma before they even met face-to-face. And when they finally did, sparks flew. Reflecting on her journey to finding true love, Wilson shared that embracing self-worth played a key role in choosing the right partner.

“I think that what you want in a partner is elevated,” she explained. “It’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship.”

She candidly admitted that not all her past relationships were as fulfilling. “I’m not saying with all my exes, they’re great — but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn’t have,” she noted. “So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.”

Before their romantic Italian wedding, the couple marked another magical milestone: getting engaged in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland on Valentine’s Day 2023. For Wilson, she chose the most enchanting setting to pop the question, sweeping her now-wife off her feet in true princess style.

With the iconic Disneyland castle glowing in the background, Rebel Wilson dropped to one knee, holding a classic Tiffany & Co. ring box, as Agruma stood in awe, surrounded by pastel rose petals and vases of roses.

The duo, fittingly dressed in matching pink-and-white sweaters embroidered with a heart design, shared a kiss after Agruma tearfully accepted. Wilson later took to Instagram to announce their engagement, featuring snapshots of the emotional moment.

“We said YES! 💗💗” Wilson captioned the post. “Thank you @tiffanyandco for the stunning ring 💍 and to Bob Iger and the incredible team at Disneyland @disneyweddings for pulling off this magical surprise!”

In her memoir, “Rebel Rising: A Memoir,” the actress recounted the details of that dreamy proposal. She explained how Ramona noticed the roses before she professed her love to her.

“I tell her how special she is to me. And then I get down on one knee and open the ring box. I end with, ‘So in this cliché way, on this cliché day, Ramona Agruma, will you marry me?’” she wrote. Overwhelmed with emotion, Agruma tearfully accepted, creating a heartwarming fairytale moment.

Since welcoming her daughter, Royce Lillian, via surrogate in November 2022, Wilson has had a strong partner by her side—who has been an unwavering support as they raise the now nearly 2-year-old together.

During a November appearance on “Australia The Morning Show,” Agruma described Royce’s arrival as a life-changing experience for both women. She shared that it had shifted their priorities, explaining how they now find themselves thinking more about their little one than themselves.
