Tyson Fury reveals how much money he has in the bank after making honest admission about his entire career
The legendary boxer is gearing up for a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury has revealed how much money he’s currently got in the bank, and he’s also made an honest admission about the future of his boxing career.
Fury, known by his boxing nickname The Gypsy King, suffered one of the biggest setbacks of his career earlier this year after his shock loss to Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk back in May – which saw the 36-year-old lose his belts and undefeated professional record.
The boxer will be back in the ring to face off against Usyk again in a hotly contested rematch on 21 December – however, reclaiming his titles isn’t what’s at the forefront of Fury’s mind.

During a recent press conference, the boxer was asked to share his thoughts on former boxer Andy Lee saying it’s hard to accept defeat. And, as it turns out, there is only one thing which trumps gold: green.
Revealing that his current goal is to make as much money as possible, be replied: “Andy Lee never had £200million in his bank to make him happy, did he? So what is my goal, and what is my target?
“It’s not a belt. It’s not a legacy. It’s not a boxing fight. It’s to make as much money as possible.”
Fury went on to explain that money is the single driving factor in his career, adding that he’s determined to continue fighting for as long as he physically can – with even losses in the ring reportedly making money for the boxer.
“I’ve got to have as many fights as I can until the wheels fall off and I’m 50 years old, crippled with a stick, walking down the street. That’s how I’ll be,” Fury explained.

Going on to drive home the fact that wealth is his only motivation in the ring, Fury admitted that he’s always been honest about how he’ll only fight ‘if the money is right’.
“I’ve had 40 professional fights, and I was in every single one of them for the money,” he said, adding: “If I wasn’t getting paid, I wouldn’t have done any of them. I do it for the dough, but I’m the only one that will tell the truth.”
He continued: “I don’t come to these places, thinking, ‘Oh my God, I’m on TV. I’m Famous.’
“I’m thinking, ‘How much dough can I get at any given moment in my career?’
“If you want to fight, the only question I say is, ‘How much?’ I have gloves, I have a body, and I will travel if the money is right. I’m truthful.”Featured Image Credit: (Andrew Redington/Getty Images/ Richard Pelham/Getty Images)
